There’s a great post on This Week in Photography today entitled 10 New Years Resolutions Every Photographer Should Make. It’s a good, quick read, and provides some very excellent advice for anyone interested in becoming a better photographer. A couple of the resolutions that I’ll be focusing on this year are below, but click here for the full article, employing even one of these ideas would be well worth the time spent.
1. I will learn how to use my camera.
TLF Note: This resolution focuses on how few people actually take the time to read the manual that comes with their camera, and I’m as guilty of this as anyone else. I picked up my manual for the first time just last month, and I’ve had my Canon Rebel T1i camera for almost a year now.
4. I will not be hindered by the gear I do not have.
TLF Note: This is one that I hope to focus on both a lot personally and through this website. I probably spend as much time online window shopping for and daydreaming about new camera gear as I do using the gear I actually have.
